Zagat Survey Rated Excellent
One of OC's few really good Indian restaurants, Mayur is a cut above because of owner Anju Kapoor, who
offers a menu that's authentic Indian comfort food. Come here for Kapoor's signature lamb chops, cooked
in the clay oven.

Anju, thank you for the great meals at Mayur. Your personal attention and Mr. Singh's experience in
preparations of the food is what we come for. A joy and a delight! Thanks again.

The absolute best in the U.S. We go to Indian restaurants all over the world, including London, and Mayur
is one of the two best we have ever experienced. We are regular patrons of Mayur.

Dinning at Mayur is wonderful! From the food and the classy inviting atmosphere to the personalized
service. I go with my boyfriend almost every week! We love starting with the quinoa salad, with avocado,
cranberries and tamarind dressing, and some garlic or Keema naan, along with mint and mango chutney. For
entrees we have many favorites, such as the Chilean sea bass (so delicate..) & the lamb chops, both
made in the tandoor. Also, the lamb vindaloo is amazing, as well as any of the curries, chicken tikka
masala, palak paneer, bartha(roasted eggplant), yellow & black lentils.. I can just go on.. And then
for dessert, there is a plethora of great options: pistachio or coconut icecream, Indian icecream,
chocolate balls, or simply a comforting turmeric latte. Ofcourse, the night goes best accompanied by a
few glasses of Miome or Educated guess wine. Anju, the owner, is a sweetheart. She and her staff make
every visit very pleasant. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Yummy food with a good ambience. The best Indian Restaurant for it's quality, quantity and price. A very
good service by the friendly staff. They are always open to feedbacks and work on the suggestions. They
take party orders for a large group. You can even order (one or two days in advance) for chat items if
you are going in a group. Overall a nice experience everytime we go and everytime we place party orders!

We were out of our normal bubble and luckily remembered this gem of a restaurant for lunch. What a treat!
The Lamb Vindaloo was just spicy enough, and the Palak Paneer was delicious with freshly made naan. It's
very comfortable and the calm beautiful interior made us feel like we are on a special date. The service
was caring and informed without being overbearing. A subtlety sweet rice pudding finished off a lovely
lunch.

On Vacation from Utah and just stopped by. Delicious we had the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Chicken
Curry lunch special. Best food we have had yet on our trip. Skip the chains at Fashion Island and enjoy
this gem.

I have been coming to this restaurant for about 35 years. The same person still owns it and is adamant
about using high quality ingredients and spices in the meals they serve here. Everything is fresh. My
current favorite is Seabass with Indian spices from the Clay oven, just delicious. You won't see short
cuts here, best quality of seafood, and meats. Love their Tandoori Chicken also. The menu has lots of
options, and I can't ever remember getting anything here I didn't like. The Chef Mr Sing is exceptional.
Mango Lassi and their appetizer salads are really good too. They also have a full bar. If you are a tea
drinker, Indian Chai tea is available and very nice. This is my #1 Indian restaurant and I drive 30 miles
each way to go there!
